Solving hunger takes more than handing out food. Our network takes a broad approach that includes research into the unique problems and underlying causes of hunger, the associated social and health implications, and developing strategic partnerships to address the issue.
Feeding Florida focuses its resources on programs that benefit every community and add significant value to the work of our members, such as the statewide produce initiative, Farmers Feeding Florida, coordinating statewide Disaster Response, and overseeing the Food Insecurity Nutrition Incentive (FINI) grant by the USDA to support the Fresh Access Bucks (FAB) program.
Our network is constantly working to build new collaborations and initiatives to ensure Florida’s food insecure have access to a community-focused, consistent, healthy food supply. Our goal is to shorten the line and surround struggling families in a wealth of resources to ensure they become productive and strong rather than worrisome and stressed about where their next meal will come from.
